Combining clouds of gob noise vocalisation/mediation, amplified object clatter and feedback manipulation while wind instruments and bowed strings trace the skyline over a tidal cadence of drum roll and augmented kick nudge and tickle. Documentation of their third live performance recorded in St. Margaret's church on the 24th September 2011 and gently enhanced by the aforementioned architectural tonal wash. Pro dubbed cassettes in snazy presentation cases like those rave packs you used to work your chin out too, with video nasty artwork sourced by Dr. Syed and designed by Architects of Harmonic Rooms Harry Wheeler.

Gradual, ecstatic plateaus of inter-special communication around dawning, jungle-island horizon keyboards and euphoric ocean-floor dance-party trance-outs. Loops of shore-dwelling guitar and hand percussion rituals usher in ancient, paradise island phazer goddesses, wordless conversations and electronic transmissions between the beached tribesmen and the spirits of the spheres, bouncing universal mind-rays off shiny, green dolphin fins. KR013 Infinite Light / Vibracathedral Orchestra Split 7"



Vibracathedral drop straight into a heads down fully tranced narco-dust trail, with guitar-born fireflies leading the way through a never-changing backdrop heat haze of low-lying smoke-mist and earth-veined throb. Fx tweets and rattlesnake percussion shakes as mystic keyboard spirits blow in a weightless drift.

The first cut from Infinite Light is a section lifted from a show featuring Barry Dean on guitar, Mick Flower on guitar and organ and Pete Nolan jamming the traps, and its a full, free-rock, psych-out captured through a heavy veil of no-fi smog. By the sounds of this they must have blasted open the trans-dimensional portal to some out-of-time temple rituals. Part two is the opposite, exchanging blasted group workout for a solo piece of harmonic guitar vignettes wrapped around a falsetto vocal cadence fluctuating at the point of saturation. Black Guns two pieces book-ending the split set buzzing drones and clouds of noxious electronics over unstable foundations of field recordings, bowed cymbals and oscillators.

Sunshine Republic take 17 plus minutes to construct a wandering haze of wailing feedback, woozy vocals and assorted grrumble and clatter, eventually stumbling across the remains of a lurching, semi retarded groove, melting down inside a shitlined cave of intense amplifier chunder and blistered metal droning, hollowed out by righteous caveman sloth-stomp, get your stereo dimed and break out the bongs, this will put you in the ground.

Constantly losing speed and any contrivance towards motif/refrain induced empathy, they've drawn on the cosmos sustainable feedback resources, primal vocal gutter-balling and the logic of the repetition/augmentation exponential relationship, common from the stooges to swans, to grind out sprawling tides of shit-black, psyched-up (out) tar and reductive, chronologically-ignorant fucking hard rock donkey punch rhythms.

Using tapes, electronics and guitars through chains of effects, Adrian Dollemore's fundamentally earth-ground chords and astrally-projective processing paint a rural tonality with a bristling white afterglow. Glistening arpeggios rise and fall against gurgling analogue electronics, washes of processed cymbal and ethereal drone filigree. Pro pressed CD packed in a card slip case which was designed by Steve d'Enton.

KR002 Jack Nicholson '48:00' CDR



Jack Nicholson grew out of experiments between Gish and Jeff during 2003. Recruiting laptop programmer Bart, a system was assembled that allowed improvisations that shared control of the musical narrative between all three players. Bridging the gap between three seperate simultaneous improvisations and pre-determined unity, laptops directly manipulate the sounds of the analogue instruments, which in turn manipulate feedback loops, all exploring the internal limits of the equipment's possibilities.

The results are layers of sound, the freedoms of which are ever shifting, and with a musical logic remains unpredictable. Drones, gitches, harmonies and noise all battle for space, as performances continue to evolve with no reference to anything other than the passing moment. This cdr documents 5 improvisations in a hand-made recycled card sleeve.
